Plants for sale – responding to Covid-19

These are very strange times indeed. As someone who is “extremely vulnerable” I am shielding at home with my husband, having everything delivered and then disinfected and allowing no-one else in the house. It feels very surreal. My husband is providing all the care normally provided by carers who cannot come onto the property as it would place me at too high a risk. He is not currently working of course. A joy in the midst of this is our glorious garden which continues to flourish. We had hoped to have plant sales, open days and other events in our healing garden by now so that the wider community could benefit from it but of course this is not possible. We do however, have lots of healthy, hardy plants ready for sale and have set up a basic click and collect system. I have attached a list of plants and a few photos and if you’re interested just drop me a list of plants you would like. email is nurturenature61@gmail.com I will then give you bank details for payment (with all proceeds being reinvested in the charity) and we arrange to ring you to sort out a time for you to collect from outside the gate. System though pretty simple and basic seems to have worked so far. There will also be some annuals including sweet peas and cosmos coming along in next few weeks to plant when it warms up again so watch this space. We are located at the bottom of Finkle Street in Wortley. Hope you too are finding some solace in the garden at this difficult time. I know it is therapeutic for me even with the limitations imposed by my disability. Its the perfect time to plant perennials and fill those gaps or even just squeeze an extra few plants in because they are beautiful and provide joy in this bleak time. Take care Helena
